Holds a PhD in Molecular Neurobiology and an Executive MBA, bringing deep experience in drug discovery and technology licensing. Has managed teams and projects within Multiple Sclerosis, pain, epilepsy, Alzheimer’s disease, and gene therapy.

Simon Elsässer, PhD​

An accomplished scientist and academic specializing in biochemistry and biophysics. An Associate Professor at Karolinska Institutet and has conducted research at renowned institutions such as Harvard University. Took advanced technology venture courses at The New York Academy of Sciences, showing his dedication in bringing solutions for technology gaps to a commercial scene and for a wider use. Co-founded Epigenica together with Mohamad.

Banushree Kumar, PhD​

A scientist with a passion for deepening our understanding of genetics and epigenetics through enabling technology tools. Has a degree in biotechnology from Bangalore, India and studied molecular biology and genetics at Lund University and the European Molecular Biology Laboratory in Heidelberg. Has a PhD from Karolinska Institutet where she has contributed significantly to the development of a novel quantitative method to study chromatin dynamics.
